STEAM AND STOMP 2010 At Boulder Hot Springs February 20 and 21.

Here is an example of the 2005 Steam and Stomp

From Bill:
Hi Folkdancers - As those of you who were there know, Steam and Stomp was great fun, as always, but we missed those of you who couldn't make it. Just to help you plan ahead, Boulder Hot Springs has proposed February 26 and 27 for Steam and Stomp 2005. They have also mentioned some price increases for the next gathering (these apply to all groups). Meals (three) will cost $4 more or $35. Rooms will cost $50 plus tax for single occupancy and $37.50 plus tax each for double occupancy. I hope the dates and rates work for you. Keep on dancing. - Bill

BOZEMAN SPRING SWING Held sometime in April.

Here is an example of the 2005 Spring Swing

The Bozeman Spring Swing is Saturday, April 23. Current sketch of the itinerary, as provided by Cecelia:
Saturday:
11-12(Maybe)At Harmony Hall. A beginners lesson for locals (for the folks who don't dance enough to recall.) We can zip through these again in the evening, but I'd like to add more from the Bourques-Moreau Easy International CD, which Carla should have by then.We already do 3 from it.
12-2 At Harmony Hall. S and S Review and maybe add some new dances.
2-3 Break
3-5:30 Scottish to live music (Hallie and Tom Robison) at the barn, with Setnja and maybe another International thrown in. This makes the best of Bozeman- our musicians and Susan at her finest.
5:30-7 Dinner
7-11 or so..Dance at MT Ballet.
Sunday
11 to 1-ish Dance at MT Ballet

CAMP AND STAMP Campout in Russ's backyard and dance all weekend. Sometime in June.

Here is an example of the 2005 Stamp and Camp

Directions to the old LaSalle School and tentative schedule:
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to announce once again that...Saturday, June 25th, some of the Bozeman, Butte and Helena group are coming to dance with us....
We'll dance at the LaSalle School in the afternoon. -1PM
After 5:00 or so, we will break for a potluck dinner. Call Missy, to coordinate what food items to bring. At 7:00 we will be at the Salvation Army Gym as usual.
(Those coming from out of town, come directly to the school. If you have a tent to set up at Russ's, then you can set up after the pot luck and before dancing at the Salvation Army Gym; if you want to.)
Directions to the old school are as follows: Drive up Hwy. 2 toward Glacier Intl. Airport. Across from the north end of the airport is large blue hanger across the street is a railroad siding where there is usually a row of boxcars. Look for Pioneer Rd. that crosses the railroad tracks and drive about 1/4 mi. east. You will see the school on the corner of the Olsen Machine Park and go into the gate down a little ways (south) of the school.

From time to time we hear of folk dance teachers coming to our area. Some of us have traveled to Calgary, Alberta Canada a few times to learn international folk dances from Edwidge Munn. Also, Traveled to Edmonton, Alberta Canada, to learn Romanian folk dances.
