Dances from December 27, 2003 at the Salvation Army gym, 7-10 PM. Demoed three Bulgarian dances: Delc^evsko Horo, Panagjursko Horo and Silistrenska Tropanka. Russ and Cris worked on Kasapsko Horo -Macedonia. We all danced it a few times. Compared the two Serbian dances: Bas^ara and Bosarka. (Bas^ara has no "one two threes" in it! In Bosarka, durring the travel to the right, the left foot crosses in front of the right, in Bas^ara the left foot crosses behind the Right.) After reviewing the video and a syllabus... revisited the Armenian dance: Karsi Bar. It's the simple dances that can cause problems. The 4th Contra Dance of the season is at the Sons of Norway. January 9, 2004. The 2nd Friday of each month. The Sons of Norway's address is 347 1st Ave E. (corner of 1st Ave. E and 4th St. E.) Kalispell, the NE corner, across the street from the fire department. The dance is from 8:00 to 11pm, with the beginners' workshop starting at 7:30pm. The cost is $6 each for adults, $3 each for teenagers (13-18), and kids 12 and under are free.
