Hi everyone, Happy New Year:

Rosalind, Linda, Allison, Dianne, Laurie, Cris, Ardyce, Larissa,
Margaret, Marilyn, Missy, Barbara, Cissy, Connie, Russ, Don &
Rose, Jackie Z., John & Diana, Jon, Max & Eva, Hank & Mardia,
Sally & Alan, Sam & Ruth, Sarah, Sue, Jackie V., Christie, Susan &
Richard, Cecelia, Ruth S., Roger, Tim, Brenda, Joe.

Dances from December 27, 2003 at the Salvation Army gym, 7-10 PM.

Demoed three Bulgarian dances: Delc^evsko Horo, Panagjursko Horo
and Silistrenska Tropanka.
Russ and Cris worked on Kasapsko Horo -Macedonia. We all danced
it a few times.
Compared the two Serbian dances: Bas^ara and Bosarka.
(Bas^ara has no "one two threes" in it! In Bosarka, durring the
travel to the right, the left foot crosses in front of the
right, in Bas^ara the left foot crosses behind the Right.)
After reviewing the video and a syllabus... revisited the
Armenian dance: Karsi Bar. It's the simple dances that can
cause problems.

Now it's past 7pm and time to start the mostly begining dances, 1-6:
1 Itele -Romania
2 Shibboleth Basadeh -Israel -did both fast and slow versions
3 Purtata de Femei II (Poor-TUH deh fah-MAEE) -Romania, Transilvania
