- Dick Oakes' International Folk Dancing and Teaching includes excellent dance notes, song lyrics, teacher biographies, and dozens of useful links.
- Bob Shapiro's Recreational Folk Dancing Page Bob's folk dance notes are an excellent reference. He dances in Topeka, Lawrence, and Kansas City.
- Vitrifolk (en français) International group in Vitrival, Belgium. Site contains many pages of dance notes, and books and music are available for purchase.
- Andrew Carnie's Folkdance Notes A very comprehensive cross-reference index of folkdances, with links to various sites (including those listed above) that contain notes or music for those dances.
- Dancilla An ambitious project, with a database of thousands of dances, including videos!
Dance Groups
- Tulsa International Folkdancers Recreational and performance dancing on Friday nights in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This group also merits a special mention for the "Longest Commute to Steam and Stomp" as Alan and Sally have made the trip from Tulsa to the annual Boulder, MT dance twice now (and show no signs of stopping)!
- Folk Dance Association Perhaps the single most comprehensive resource for connecting with folkdancers in the United States and Canada.

- Claddagh Dance Company A Southern California dance company offering Irish dancing classes, shows, choreography, and more.
- Svitanje A Pennsylvania women's a cappella ensemble specializing in music from Eastern Europe. Their site includes mp3 recordings of their lovely renditions of several familiar tunes; but if you enjoy them, they would certainly appreciate if you purchase their CDs.

- Pinewoods Music Book The second edition of Tom Pixton's amazing resource is now available. Contains music and lyrics for over 300 well-known dances from a dozen cultures, indexed by title and by country.
