Kalispell International Folk Dancers, Nov. 14, from 7 to 10 pm, at the
Salvation Army gym, 110 Bountiful Drive.
For new dancers, easier dances are taught for at least the first hour, with
more advanced dancing later in the evening. We ask a $3 donation to pay for
the rent of the hall. We had a mellow evening last Saturday and a nice little
85th birthday celebration for Marvin, our inspiration.

Also tonight is the annual Rails to Trails contra dance and pie auction
fundraiser, starting at 7 p.m. It's at the Smith Valley Grange west of
Kalispell on Highway 2 past the blinking light at Spring Creek Road but
before the Smith Valley School at Batavia Lane. You'll see all the cars
and the little old log hall on the south side of the road.

Next Saturday, Nov. 21, our international dance group will take a night
off to make way for a night of contra dancing at the Salvation Army gym.
Contra dances are normally on the second Saturday of each month, but it's
the third Saturday in November to avoid a conflict with the Rails to Trails
        event.

Elsewhere around the state, Cecelia Notess reports the following:
Nov 21st Presentation/Dance Party in Butte.
We'll dance for desserts and entertain residents at Waterford/Big Sky Living
at 2 p.m., followed by Dance Party 3:30 to 6 p.m. at Sacred Ground, 601 West Park Street.

First announcement for the annual Steam and Stomp at Boulder Hot Springs, from
        Bill Bucher in Helena:
The date for Steam and Stomp, our annual winter international folk dance at
Boulder Hot Springs, is February 20-21, 2010. I will send out details and
registration forms in late December, but save the dates for a rollicking good
        time.
